The team consisting of: Sarudazai Chiya, Thao Dang, Zakarias Larsson, and Piotr Skrzyniarz was one of 6,000 teams competing for a place on the podium. Despite the overwhelming number of competitors, they managed to come out among the best at the IMA European and Central Asian Championships.

The task of the participants consisted in correctly identifying the proper classification of investments using accounting standards and making the necessary entries in the company's financial statements.

- The key to the success of the team from UEP consisted in the knowledge we gained from our studies, practical experience, communication between team members, division of tasks, and leadership - said Zakarias Larsson, shortly after the result was announced. - Everyone did their part very well. Rehearsals in front of other students, constructive criticism, and feedback gave us a lot. We were also motivated - we were driven by the will to win and to put our names and the name of our university on the list of winners.

The students were substantively supported by Prof. of UEP Catherine Perez, Professor at PUEB.
